Acorn all started with a man in Maine whose main priority was comfort above all else. One day, in 1976, he created something that answered the call for both fashion and functionality as well as practicality and fun. He crafted and hand stitched a shoe that was part hard sole, part sock, and Acorn’s most famous product was born: the slipper sock. Today, the brand has expanded beyond those iconic and legendarily comfortable house shoes to a full range of slippers, moccasins and indoor booties, all manufactured to that same ideal of comfort and quality.
