London designer Antonio Berardi launched his namesake label in 1994, after a stint working with fashion visionary John Galliano as his assistant. A graduate of the prestigious Central Saint Martins, he instantly attracted attention from London buyers, including Liberty and A La Mode, at his final year show. Garnering a cult following on the red carpet, his designs are known for its signature form-fitting silhouettes and innovative use of fabrics and textures. Berardi takes inspiration from both his Sicilian and British heritage, each collection often featuring beadwork and exquisite detailing. After quickly gaining a fashionable following for his feminine approach to tailoring, his sleek and sophisticated dresses continue to be a favourite among the sartorial elite.
