Women's Metallic Neutrals Artisan Chalan Hat

This is a classic South-American horserider hat traditionally woven by female artisans in Peru. The toquilla palm tree frond is picked, sun-dried and then stripped into micro-fine strands that are hand-woven together to create a tightly woven hood. The hat is then fixed with a natural tree sap. This is an entirely plant-based product, no synthetic products or chemicals are used. The crown of this hat has a traditional Chalan or horserider teardrop molded crown, while the brim of this hat is fully moldable with use or shaping. 100% toquilla straw. Wipe down with damp cloth, air dry. Do not submerge in water. Can re reshaped by misting with water and gently reshaping the brim. Colour: metallic
