Avoid Water Water can be detrimental to leather by robbing it of natural oils and causing discolouration and wrinkles. If you’ve been diligent with moisturising and have chosen a balsam that contains beeswax, it will act as a barrier against moderate amounts of water. However, avoid exposing your bag to heavy rain.
