Women's Metallic Selena Basket Bag – Forest

Hand-woven in Ghana from dried elephant grass, prized for its strength and durability, the Selena Basket Bag brings together the work of three artisan communities. Its sculptural handle is strung with glossy forest green beads, each shaped from Mount Kenya clay by a community of single mothers in Nairobi, then individually fired and glazed. Vegetable-tanned leather trim gives the basket a sleek structure, and a cotton lining with a drawstring and button closure keeps your belongings secure. A removable leather shoulder strap lets you carry it by hand or across the body. Each piece provides income for artisan families, so you carry a story as well as a bag. Limited edition. Durable, but handle with care Wipe the basket gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth; do not soak If it gets wet, let it dry naturally away from direct heat Treat the leather occasionally with a leather conditioner Colour: metallic
