Women's Black Embellished Trim Velvet Mini Dress

Velvet with a dense, short pile that absorbs light rather than reflecting it - the surface reads as deep and rich, giving the dress a visual weight that photographs and reads beautifully in low-lit rooms. The off-the-shoulder neckline sits as a clean, straight line across the bust, with the fabric folding softly at the cap sleeve - it frames the shoulders without exposing too much, striking a considered balance. A row of crystal embellishments runs along the neckline trim, each cluster catching the light in a way that draws the eye precisely where the cut already directs attention - decoration with purpose rather than afterthought. Fitted through the body and cut to a mini length of approximately 90cm, the dress skims rather than clings - the velvet has enough body to hold its shape through the hip and hem without stiffness. Fully lined for a smooth finish against the skin, with no visible seaming to interrupt the clean silhouette from front on. This dress does the work of a full outfit on its own, which means accessories can be kept minimal and deliberate. The crystal trim at the neckline already acts as jewellery, so the most considered approach is to leave the dcolletage clear - a pair of simple drop earrings is enough. The model wears nothing beyond the dress itself, and it holds the eye completely. Strappy heeled sandals or pointed-toe courts in a neutral or metallic finish will carry the formality through to the shoe. For a black-tie dinner, a cocktail party, or a winter wedding where you want to arrive in something that reads immediately as intentional, this is the dress that does it. A sleek updo exposes the off-the-shoulder line to full effect; worn with hair down, the look softens slightly. Either way, this is a piece that requires very little from the rest of your wardrobe - it simply needs the occasion to match it. | Karen Millen Embellished Trim Velvet Mini Dress in Black | Size 6 Colour: black
