Founded by Thomas A Hill in 1860, Sunspel was created on the basis of one, revolutionary idea, to make everyday clothing from beautiful fabric. Made at a time of exciting change in the textile industry and coinciding with the newly imported arrival of fine, Egyptian cotton, Hill specialized in three articles of clothing that soon became legendary: The Riviera Polo, The T-Shirt and the Boxer Short. In fact, Sunspel’s iconic Polo Shirt was so renowned that some were designed for Daniel Craig’s James Bond and worn in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
