Women's Blue Royal Lapis Oval Earrings

Crushed lapis lazuli with sparks of golden pyrite running through it, poured by hand into a large oval the same royal blue that Renaissance painters saved for the most important robe in the picture. Poured rather than cut is how you get this much surface without the weight of a solid stone slab, so an earring at this scale still hangs easily from a gold filled hook. At full size the depth in the blue actually reads, and the pyrite catches differently as you turn your head. Every pour falls its own way, so no two pairs match. One pair of statement earrings, and the rest of the outfit can stay quiet. Crushed lapis and pyrite set in hand-poured resin, on a gold plated frame with 14k gold filled ear hooks. Keep away from perfume, lotion, and household chemicals, and take them off before swimming. Wipe with a soft cloth only, as the plated frame will not take abrasives or polish. Colour: blue
