Men's Trace Enamel Signet Ring — Recycled Sterling – Sand Casting

Handcrafted in recycled Sterling Silver 925 using traditional lost wax carving and sand-casting techniques in my Cornwall studio. This men’s signet ring features a wide top surface measuring approximately 13 mm. The face is finished with a contrasting black Colorit ceramic enamel inlay, enhanced with subtle grey tones to create depth and a unique layered effect. The ring’s surface carries the natural marks and irregularities created through the sand-casting process. Rather than removing these traces, they are preserved to celebrate the individuality of the handmade process, giving each piece its own character and identity. Finished with a combination of satin brushing and oxidisation. Care Instructions — Sterling Silver Daily Wear Sterling silver naturally tarnishes when exposed to air and moisture, but regular wear actually helps slow this process. Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, hairspray, and household chemicals, as these can accelerate oxidation. Storage When not wearing, store your jewellery in a dry, airtight pouch or box. Keeping it separate from other jewellery helps prevent scratches, especially given its textured surface. Cleaning Gently polish with a soft silver cloth to restore shine. For a deeper clean, use warm water with mild soap, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners—they can strip away the subtle surface texture and patina. Tarnish & Patina Slight darkening is natural and often enhances the sculptural detail of the piece. If you prefer a brighter finish, occasional polishing will bring back the silver’s shine while still retaining its handmade character. Extra Care Remove during heavy manual work or activities.
