Women's Metallic Carnation Cameo Necklace With Agate

The Carnation cameo necklace by Vintouch features a hand-carved porcelain cameo depicting a floral composition of roses, carnations and lily of the valley — a combination traditionally associated with love, devotion and purity. Each element contributes to a layered meaning: the rose for affection and beauty, the carnation for deep attachment, the lily of the valley for renewal and sincerity. The cameo is set in 18k gold-plated sterling silver with a protective palladium layer and forms the pendant of a green agate necklace. In 19th century, floral compositions like this were worn as coded expressions of sentiment. Rather than a single message, they conveyed a combination of meanings — a practice that continues to define the narrative depth of cameo jewellery today. Crafted from recycled sterling silver and finished in 18k gold vermeil (1 micron), this piece is designed for lasting beauty. A thin palladium layer (0. 10 micron) is applied before gold plating to protect the surface from natural oxidation and preserve the brilliance of the gold over time. Palladium is a precious anti-oxidizing metal widely used in fine jewellery. To preserve the original finish of your jewellery, avoid contact with soaps, detergents, chlorine, perfumes, and other chemical substances. When not worn, store the piece in its pouch to help protect it from natural oxidation. If necessary, gently polish the surface with a soft suede or jewellery cloth. Handcrafted in Italy in full compliance with European REACH and RoHS regulations. Nickel-free and suitable for sensitive skin. Colour: metallic
