As cotton can often be prone to shrinking when it is washed and dried, it is recommended to check the individual care label for each piece and follow the instructions carefully. Cotton can sometimes be prone to shrinking when it is washed and dried, and to prevent this happening it is recommended to use water that is 30°C or below, either by hand or in the washing machine. This will help avoid colour fading and dye transfer. Before allowing to air dry naturally, cotton can be gently stretched when they come out of the wash to restore shape.

Wool is a soft, natural fibre that can be prone to shrinking if not cared for properly. To maintain the super-soft feel and luxurious feel of your wool garment, we recommend following the instructions on each garment’s care label. Most wool is washable, with the main exception of structured pieces like suits, jackets and blazers, which are best spot cleaned. For wool that is suitable for washing, use a pH neutral detergent and select a gentle cycle on the machine with a temperature of 30°C or less to mimic the actions of traditional hand washing. To reduce the risk of shrinkage, soak your wool item in cold water before machine washing. The heat from the tumble dryer can also shrink your garment, so it is best to lay wool flat and allow to air dry away from sunlight and radiators. Hang structured wool, such as jackets and suits, to dry on hangers.
