Gucci designs easy-to-wear dresses enlivened with eye-catching details and prints. They come in a wide range of colours, prints and cuts, and are crafted from fabrics such as cotton, silk and wool for a high-quality finish.

Demonstrating ladylike dressing with a twist, Gucci crafts its dresses from lightweight, flowy fabrics like cotton, lace and silk. The brand’s dresses deserve to take centre stage, so you need only add simple accessories.

Before attempting to clean cotton, we would advise always checking the label to ensure no specific care instructions are required. As cotton is prone to shrinkage, it’s best to clean in water that is 30°C or below. This will help avoid colour fading and dye transfer. Gently stretch cotton to restore the original shape and air dry naturally.

Lace is a delicate and elegant fabric, which often requires special care to keep it looking its best for years to come. If your lace becomes stained, it will need to be cleaned quickly as stains can stick to the lace fibres permanently if left untreated for too long. We advise hand washing your lace garment in warm water, unless specified on the item’s care label. Massage the soapy water into the lace and leave to soak for around 30 minutes. Rinse well, and press out excess water. Avoid rubbing the lace fabric, instead use a gentle plunging action to remove any dirt or stains. Do not tumble dry or wring out, as lace should be dried flat away from direct sunlight. If you really need to clean lace in the washing machine, always place lace within a cotton wash bag and use a gentle and cool wash cycle.

Few fabrics feel as luxurious as silk, and in order to keep it in its original condition for longer, we recommend carefully following the care instructions found on each individual item’s label. Some silk products are strictly dry clean only, while others can be hand washed or machine washed on a gentle, cold-water cycle. If you do decide to hand wash silk, always use lukewarm water and a specific, mild detergent in order to protect the silk’s natural properties. Avoid spot cleaning silk, as rubbing in only one area can cause the material to lighten in just that spot. Avoid putting in the tumble dryer and instead lay flat to dry naturally. If you need to clean in the machine, first place in a laundry bag, select a delicate, cold-water cycle and remove promptly once the cycle has finished to reduce wrinkles. If the care label on your silk item says that it can be ironed, then use a low iron setting and ideally iron while it is still slightly damp.
