Turn to Our Legacy's collection of coats for your everyday staples. Our Legacy uses only high quality materials for its coats, such as wool, ensuring each piece looks as good as it feels. The label merges functional, comfortable qualities with its signature design aesthetic to create pieces that will work for a range of occasions. Our Legacy demonstrates an ongoing commitment to form and function with its top-quality range of coats. Wool items are a great investment, and it pays to care for them properly. To help keep your wool coats in excellent condition for years to come, we advise checking each item’s care label before cleaning, with most pieces dry clean only, hand wash or machine washable. Wool is a soft, natural fiber that can be prone to shrinking if not cared for properly. The best way to care for wool will vary depending on the type of garment that requires cleaning. Some wool pieces, such as a suit, blazer or coat, would benefit from spot cleaning. Otherwise, most wool can be either hand washed, or washed in the machine on a gentle cycle of 30°C or less, using a mild PH neutral detergent and turned inside out first. Soak for up to half an hour, rinse well and press out any water without wringing. If you want to use the machine, make sure the item is turned inside out first, place in a mesh laundry bag and ensure a low-spin, cold-water cycle is selected. Dry wool knitwear flat and away from direct heat or sunlight. Most wool knitwear, no matter how good the quality, is prone to pilling. Gently pass a pilling comb over the fibres to remove any of the bobbles. Everyone should have Our Legacycoats in their wardrobe. Shop our edit today.
