Knit-wear the Weather

With autumnal dressing ultimately dictated by an ever-changing forecast, it's easy to see the weather as our biggest sartorial opponent, rather than a resource of revelation. Our outfits adhere to the day’s demands, rather than the other way around. Fluctuating temperatures and unpredictable skies see us relying on a revolving door of layering and knitwear that can have us feeling, well, uninspired.
Preventative measures and playful mindsets can aid you in this trying time; all you need is a little inspiration. As the Matisse quote goes, "There are always flowers for those who want to see them". An overcast mottled grey sky could suddenly materialise into a beautiful grey cashmere scarf thrown over a dark grey trench. A crisp blue day could inspire a sudden urge to play with an outfit of yellows, blues and whites. Even the moodiest of forecasts could turn into a moment of styling genius, with ideas popping up out of the blue, or even the grey. Really, if one finds themselves stuck for ideas – we suggest just looking out of the window.
