Gabriela Hearst

Women's Purple Small Marija Tote Bag

Named after archaeologist Marija Gimbutas, the Marija Tote is a luxury leather carryall inspired by her work uncovering goddess-centered cultures. Handcrafted from the finest Italian deerskin and featuring calf suede panels that fold in like wings, this artisanal tote bag suggests strength, protection, and quiet power. The central knotted tie detail pays homage to ancient spiral and snake motifs often found in her research, symbols of life, connection, and renewal. This sustainable luxury handbag embodies Gabriela Hearst's commitment to conscious craftsmanship, combining heritage leather techniques with modern sophistication. The spacious single compartment and removable pouch offer versatile organization for your daily essentials, while the drawstring closure ensures security with effortless elegance.
