Women's Black Bow One Shoulder Velvet Sequin Maxi Dress

Single-shoulder neckline with a gathered bow detail at the strap - the asymmetric cut draws the eye across the dcolletage and leaves one shoulder bare for a quietly dramatic silhouette. Sequins are set into a velvet base, giving the fabric a depth that shifts between matte and brilliant as the light catches it - far more considered than a flat sequin fabric. The skirt is cut with a gradual fishtail flare from the knee, adding volume at the hem without bulk through the body. A small elastane content means the dress holds its shape through a long evening, moving with the body rather than against it. Fully lined for comfort and a clean finish against the skin - the dress sits smoothly from shoulder to hem with no bunching at the waist. The velvet sequin fabric has a weight to it - it doesn't cling nervously or float unpredictably, it settles with purpose and moves in a single clean sweep to the floor. That combination of structure and gentle give makes this a dress you can actually wear for a full evening: dinner, dancing, the walk across a grand room. The fishtail hem sweeps elegantly as you move, which is exactly the point at a black-tie event. Styled as seen, with pointed-toe embellished court shoes and drop crystal earrings, it reads as complete and considered - nothing needs adding. For a black-tie wedding, a gala, or a formal awards evening, this is the dress that requires no second-guessing. Keep accessories restrained; the bow shoulder and the sequined velvet surface are doing the work, and they do it well. | Coast Women's Bow One Shoulder Velvet Sequin Maxi Dress in Black | Size: 8 Colour: black
