Women's Red Chiffon Cape Pencil Midi Dress

A floaty chiffon cape sits over the shoulders and falls to the waist, catching the air as you move while the fitted pencil skirt beneath stays perfectly composed. Boat neckline cuts cleanly across the collarbone - refined enough to need no jewellery, though the model pairs it with simple drop earrings to great effect. Crepe fabric brings a subtly textured surface with a clean, weighted drape - it holds its shape across the pencil skirt without pulling or clinging, and the structured body of the dress keeps the cape overlay looking intentional rather than fussy. A front split at the midi hem allows for a natural stride without compromising the sleek silhouette - practical in the most considered way. The layered construction does two things at once: the cape skims the upper body generously while the fitted waist and skirt below define the figure with quiet precision. This dress earns its place at the front of the wardrobe for any occasion that calls for considered dressing. The cape overlay means it works as a complete look without needing a separate cover-up - ideal for an outdoor wedding ceremony that moves inside, or a day at the races where the weather is never quite guaranteed. Pair with pointed-toe court heels as shown, and keep accessories to a minimum: a small structured clutch and a single piece of fine jewellery are all it needs. The midi length and boat neckline make it a natural choice for formal daytime occasions - a graduation, a smart luncheon, or as mother-of-the-bride. Because the silhouette does the work, you can carry this from the ceremony straight through to the evening without a change. It is the kind of dress that photographs beautifully from every angle, and feels as considered in person as it looks in the room. | Coast Women's Chiffon Cape Pencil Midi Dress in Burgundy | Size: 8 Colour: red
