Women's Blue Denim Midi Pencil Dress

Denim that works like a second skin - sturdy and structured at first, it softens and moulds with wear, eventually moving with you rather than against you. Seamed construction runs vertically through the bodice and skirt, giving the silhouette its pencil-sharp definition without relying solely on stretch. A wide, scooped neckline sits lower than a standard round neck, framing the dcolletage and shoulders with a considered openness. Topstitching traces every seam - it's a workwear detail that reads as intentional and precise rather than decorative. Midi length lands at approximately 125cm, finishing just above the ankle for a silhouette that elongates without restricting stride. Slanted hip-level pockets are stitched flush to the waist seam, adding a tailored utility detail that sits flat against the skirt. A dinner reservation, a gallery opening, a client lunch that runs into drinks - this dress earns its place in each of those settings without being dressed up or down in an obvious way. The denim gives it a certain ease that a tailored crepe or satin equivalent wouldn't, and that ease is exactly the point. It holds its shape through a long day, and by the time evening arrives it has settled into the body in a way that looks entirely deliberate. Pair it as the model does here: pointed kitten-heel mules and nothing else. The neckline is already doing enough work that layering jewellery should be kept to a minimum - a single fine chain at most. For a sharper daytime read, a structured blazer thrown over the shoulders keeps the silhouette in check. The contrast topstitching means the dress carries itself well without accessories, which makes it one of the more dependable pieces to reach for when time is short. | Karen Millen Denim Midi Pencil Dress in Indigo | Size 6 Colour: blue
