Women's Red Pleated Beaded Detail Balloon Sleeve Maxi Dress

Intricate smocked yoke at the chest and a matching smocked waistband create two distinct points of structure, letting the pleated skirt fall freely from the hip with real movement. Balloon sleeves gather into smocked cuffs - the volume is controlled rather than overwhelming, sitting neatly at the wrist without adding bulk to the arm. Fine knife pleats run the full length of the skirt, catching light as the dress moves and giving the maxi silhouette a sense of depth that flat fabric simply cannot replicate. Beaded detailing sits at the neckline, adding a considered decorative touch that reads as intentional craftsmanship rather than embellishment for its own sake. The cotton blend is breathable and soft against the skin, making it genuinely comfortable to wear across a long occasion - no fidgeting, no stiffness by the end of the evening. Maxi length, approximately 140cm, with a round neckline that keeps the overall look refined and the focus firmly on the textural work of the fabric. The smocking is the detail that sets this dress apart. Where many occasion dresses rely on a single focal point, this one works the same technique twice - across the chest and again at the waist - creating a natural hourglass without any boning or structured underlining. The pleated skirt moves with real fluidity as you walk, which makes it as well-suited to a summer wedding as it is to a formal dinner or graduation ceremony. The balloon sleeve adds occasion-appropriate drama whilst remaining covered and considered - a balance that is harder to achieve than it looks. The model wears the dress with strappy heeled sandals, which is the right instinct: the maxi length and volume of the skirt call for a heel that elongates without competing. Keep accessories minimal - a slim clutch and understated earrings will let the construction of the dress speak for itself. This is not a piece that needs layering; it is complete as it stands. | Karen Millen Pleated Beaded Detail Balloon Sleeve Maxi Dress in Red | Size 8 Colour: red
