Women's Black Viscose Satin Ruched Cowl Neck Midi Dress

The draped cowl neck sits loosely at the throat, pooling fabric that frames the collarbone without exposing it - a considered choice for formal occasions that call for restraint. Ruching at the waist draws the fabric into a gathered knot at the centre front, cinching the silhouette without any additional structure underneath. Viscose satin with a cool handfeel and a soft, natural drape - it skims the body rather than clinging, and the fabric moves with every step rather than holding its shape stiffly. Sleeveless with a cap-shoulder cut, the armhole sits close to the body for a clean, polished line from the shoulder through to the bias-cut hem. The midi length falls to approximately 126cm, finishing at mid-calf with a gently flared hem that sweeps outward as you walk. A wedding, a formal dinner, a summer race day - this dress is built for occasions where the details are noticed. The cowl neck does the work at the top, so the styling below can stay minimal: the model pairs it with strappy heeled sandals, which let the bias-cut hem move freely and keep the overall line long and unbroken. For a garden wedding or an evening event, a slim-strapped heel in a metallic or neutral tone works equally well. Keep jewellery fine - a delicate chain or a single ear cuff sits better here than anything that competes with the draped neckline. A structured clutch in satin or leather ties the occasion dressing together without overcomplicating it. If the venue turns cooler, a sharp tailored blazer thrown over the shoulders maintains the refined mood rather than softening it. This is a dress that photographs well and wears even better - the kind of piece that earns its place in the wardrobe long after the occasion has passed. | Karen Millen Viscose Satin Ruched Cowl Neck Midi Dress in Black | Size 6 Colour: black
