Lizzie Fortunato

Twin sisters Elizabeth and Kathryn Fortunato founded Lizzie Fortunato in 2008 with a desire to create unique accessories with unexpected materials, inspired by difference places and cultures. The sisters construct a narrative for each collection, drawing on historical, artistic and architectural references with reclaimed and precious materials - resulting in a label that is consistently ahead of the curve. Launching leather goods in 2011, the clutches, shoulder bags and accessories are a natural extension of the label’s jewellery and is adorned with hand-loomed embroidery and beading, fusing traditional techniques with modern design. Each piece is made in New York by a team of metalsmiths and seamstresses as full expressions of the sisters’ love of and appreciation of vintage textiles collected from around the world.
