From humble beginnings, young scotsman,Alexander MacRae created what became the brand we call Speedo over one hundred years ago, in 1910. Now an iconic international sporting and swimwear brand with a rich history, Speedo launched the first non wool swimsuit for men in the 1920s. The speedo was affectionately named after a competition entry, ‘speed on in your speedos’. Since then, the brand has become widely known and respected across the globe for its innovative designs and ties to successful athletes. Today, Speedo is sold globally and has expanded its range to include not only swimwear for men women and children, but also clothing, and swimming accessories.
