Stephan Janson

French-born designer Stephan Janson grew up inspired by the couture concoctions of master ateliers like Yves Saint Laurent, Kenzo Takada and Diane Furstenberg and it was only a matter of time before this fashion-obsessed creative launched his own brand in Milan in 1989. Renowned for his sculptural approach to silhouettes and innate understanding of draping, Janson’s designs are infused with a simplicity that is belied by his bold use of colour. Expect to find swathes of silk wrapped into sleek cobalt blue and fuchsia dresses alongside long, sheer tunic tops and slouchy casual trousers.
