WOOYOUNGMI

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Woo Young Mi picked up the Osaka International Fashion Award upon graduating from Fashion Studies in 1983, leading her to found her own menswear label. Organically the brand has evolved into a family business amongst women, with her sister and three daughters playing key roles. Central to the design of WOOYOUNGMI is the unique perspective that comes from female designers creating menswear. An objective viewpoint is necessary, where the ideal man for whom they wish to design for is always front of mind.
