The American label Alice and Olivia was launched by classmates Rebecca Matchett and Stacey Bendet in 2002. Alice + Olivia is a New York-based brand that was originally created as a ready-to-wear label, inspired by the need to create trousers that would become an outfit's key focal point. Since then, the brand has expanded the ready-to-wear collection and also offers up accessories, which include smart and boxy leather backpacks in a quilted design for a refined take on the laid-back staple accessory.
