Sardinian designer Antonio Marras made his haute couture debut in Rome in 1996, just eight years after launching his first ever collection, Piano Piano Dolce Carlotta. Being a huge movie fan, Marras took the name from the 60s horror film by Robert Aldrich. Praised for his impeccable attention to detail and craftsmanship, Marras combines sumptuous embroidery and rich fabrics with contemporary design elements, creating juxtapositions of rich and poor, male and female, decoration and structure, form and function. Antonio Marras tops embody the brand's signature use of contrasting 'and often clashing 'textures, colours and prints. Artfully draped, flowing tops sit alongside boxy short-sleeved styles and fitted bustiers to produce a range that's as diverse as it is beautiful.
