British brand Biba began in 60s West London as a department store founded by Polish-born Barbara Hulanicki with the help of her husband Stephen Fitz-Simon. Offering clothing, homeware and accessories that were inspired by the Art Deco movement of the time, Biba's unashamedly luxurious and lavish designs were incredibly popular in the 60s and 70's, particularly with the likes of movie starts and artists, who frequently flocked to the store. Relaunched in 2010 by British retailer House of Fraser, the brand remains true to its original roots, capturing the decadent glamour of its founding age.
