The Icebreaker label was founded by Jeremy Moon when he was just 24 years old, after he was introduced to a sheep farmer who presented him with a prototype of a T-shirt crafted of merino wool. The label's founder made it his mission to create quality clothing made of Merino, specifically designed for the outdoors. Moving outdoor-wear away from the synthetic, Icebreaker uses natural merino wool to make warm, functional clothing 'including a line of colourful hats 'for those that enjoy an active lifestyle.
