Generally, most wool is washable and will need to be turned inside out before being washed at temperatures of 30°C or less using a specialist wool detergent. To reduce the risk of shrinkage, soak your wool item in cold water before machine washing. Lay flat to air dry, and do not put it in the dryer. Hang woven wool garments on padded hangers, and fold knitted pieces away in drawers. If pilling occurs after wearing, carefully remove with a fabric comb.
