S.N.S Herning began life in Denmark in 1931. It was registered as a trademark by Søren Nielsen Skyt who named the brand after the town in which it was established and began selling knitted clothing that he had made himself. This label was one of the originators of the fisherman jumper and the designs that are produced today still follow the same process of creation as the originals did all those years ago 'including the technique of knitting with 'bobble' patterns that was pioneered by Skyt and which increases the insulating ability of the clothes. The range of hats from S.N.S Herning continues the knitted seafaring theme, with naval beanies and knitted hats in a range of different colours and designs.
