Women's Black Viscose Satin Asymmetric Ruffle Midi Dress

Viscose satin that delivers a cool handfeel against the skin and a soft, natural drape - it skims rather than clings, letting the silhouette breathe as you move. The asymmetric ruffle hem is the defining detail: longer at one side, it catches the light differently with each step and gives the midi length a sense of movement that a straight cut simply wouldn't. A relaxed, wide-sleeve bodice with a subtle roll collar sits in deliberate contrast to the gathered, full skirt - the transition at the waist is where the dress earns its shape. The gathered waist seam creates volume in the skirt while keeping the bodice intentionally loose - a silhouette that works without a belt, but rewards one. Midi length sits at approximately 134cm, falling well below the knee for a considered, polished proportion that reads effortlessly dressed up. The viscose satin has a weight to it that you notice immediately - not stiff, but substantial enough to hold the fullness of the skirt without collapsing flat. At the bodice, it drapes generously across the shoulders and arms, giving a relaxed ease that feels intentional rather than oversized. The skirt gathers from the waist and sweeps out with real movement, the asymmetric ruffle hem catching mid-stride in a way that feels considered rather than fussy. Styled as seen here, a wide structured belt cinched at the natural waist redefines the silhouette entirely, transforming the generous cut into something sharply defined. Strappy heeled sandals keep the look refined without competing with the dress itself. This is the piece for a work event that runs into dinner, a gallery opening, or a wedding guest occasion where you want to look intentional without resorting to something overtly formal. Wear it belted for evening, or loose and uncinched for a more relaxed daytime register. | Karen Millen Viscose Satin Asymmetric Ruffle Midi Dress in Black | Size 6 Colour: black
