Women's Blue Large Labradorite Pendant Necklace

This labradorite teardrop pendant necklace looks slate gray at rest, until the light finds it and a royal blue flash rises up through the stone and moves with every turn. The full teardrop cabochon is domed high and set alone in a plain sterling silver bezel with a plain sterling silver bail. Labradorite is a feldspar named for Labrador in Canada. As it cooled, it grew in thin layers that split light and send back a single colour, here a deep blue. The pendant measures approx. 1 in and hangs from a black leather cord in a short or long length, each with a two inch extender and a lobster clasp. The cord gives a quieter line close to the skin. Each stone is natural, so the flash varies from piece to piece. The necklace is nickel-free and lead-free and is hand finished in San Diego. Keep the necklace dry and remove it before contact with water, perfume, lotion or oils. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth after wearing and store it flat, apart from harder pieces. Sterling silver darkens over time, so use a silver polishing cloth and keep it off the stone.
