Yamamoto brings his signature style to Adidas' advanced technical sportswear with Y-3, the collaboration between the brand and Japanese designer that was launched in 2003. The resulting collections see the same fabrics and innovative technologies used to create high quality performance wear, that Adidas is known for, with Yamamoto's playful and avant-garde style. Although a highly skilled tailor, Yamamoto more commonly experiments with the concepts of balance, proportion and volume to create new silhouettes that differ from the norm.
