The daughter of a tailor, Alberta Ferretti began her career in fashion aged 18, with the launch of her Italian boutique in 1968. Shortly after, she began her eponymous womenswear line, a collection of elegant evening dresses with signature draping, twisting and tucking. Realising the need for a youthful alternative to the power suits and styles of the 80's, Ferretti launched her sister line, PHILOSOPHY in 1984. A collection of youthful, feminine designs inspired by the main line's DNA, PHILOSOPHY shorts feature chic, high-waisted styles and playful printed hot trousers.
