When American traveller Blake Mycoskie returned home from South America in 2006, he decided he wanted to do something about the poverty he witnessed. An idea was born, and he created TOMS, promising to match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair given to a child in need. Since then, the company has expanded to offer eyewear too 'now with each purchase of premium sunglasses, TOMS gives prescription glasses and/or medical treatment to restore sight to a person in need. TOMS trainers are made from relaxed, sporty canvas, sporting a recognisable pleated, square toe. Perfect for completing a carefree weekend outfit, these stylish designs channel the motto 'fashion and compassion'.
