Camplin is a legendary British outerwear brand that dates back to 1850, when Mr Edgard Camplin first began selling Navy supplies in small stores in London and Portsmouth. Later, it was Edgard's son Charles who took over and began supplying uniforms to the Royal Navy in 1888, inventing the P. coat (today's peacoat) which stood for Petty officer.
